A man has been stabbed to death in an attack in front of the Martyred Intellectuals Graveyard in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur. The victim was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 3pm on Saturday, where the doctor-on-duty declared him dead, according to Inspector Md Faruk, the officer-in-charge of the hospital’s police outpost. Then I heard that he had been stabbed.”Describing the incident, she said: “A man saw Sumon and demanded his money. Then he attempted to snatch his mobile phone. “At one point in the scuffle, the man stabbed Sumon in his right thigh, grabbed the mobile phone and fled.”Sumon was first taken to Sikder Medical College Hospital in critical condition after the stabbing.
