The Newcastle United boss will have been hoping for a relatively quiet start to 2026 on the transfer front but a string of injuries has put pay to that. Back in the summer, the 22-year-old was valued at as much as £52m, which has now dropped to a more realistic £35m. It would be a bold move but the situation Howe finds himself in potentially demands it. But it's possible he could move on this month, potentially for as little as £10m.
