City’s latest offer, worth £18 million, was rejected last week but Pep Guardiola, the head coach, is determined to sign the former Manchester United centre back. First, though, he must offload Eliaquim Mangala, whom they have been trying to sell all summer but who is likely to now leave on loan to Inter Milan. West Brom are keen to sign Janssen, the Tottenham striker ANDREW MATTHEWS/PEvans’s transfer to City is also not expected to take place until West Brom have signed a replacement. Tony Pulis, the West Brom head coach, is keen to sign Kevin Wimmer, as well as his Tottenham Hotspur team-mate Vincent Janssen, the striker.
