Varane is keen on a new challenge and believes he’s suited to Premier League football. United are said to be ‘inching closer’ to a deal, with the club confident that it can be sealed within the next fortnight. Varane would become United’s second signing of the summer following the £73m agreement to sign Jadon Sancho, though that deal is yet to be fully confirmed. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed yesterday that ‘just paperwork’ was holding up an announcement and he batted away questions about Varane.
