A pro-Hindutva graffiti allegedly made by vandals at the door of the chapel at Delhi University's St Stephen's College that read, "Mandir Yahi Banega" (temple will be built here) was discovered by students here on Saturday. The college authorities started doing away with the graffiti across the chapel door on Saturday itself. Both the NSUI and the ABVP issued statements demanding action against the culprits claiming this was an attempt to divide students. Reacting to the fiasco, Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor, who is an alumnus of St Stephen's took to Twitter, saying,"Dismayed to hear of vandalism at the chapel of St Stephen's College, w/ "mandir yahin banega" scrawled on the door. DNA made attempts to reach college principal but he was unavailable for a comment.
