The Maoists killed a villager on the suspicion him being a police informer in Kanker district of South Chhattisgarh on Monday. He was sitting at his home when the Maoists surrounded and shot him dead,” Kanker district Superintendent of Police (SP) Mr.M.L.Kotwani told The Hindu. The killing has terrorized villagers in the area as it took place hardly four kilometers from a Border Security Force (BSF) camp in Nagaldand village. “ Bablu Das, a resident of Sanur village under Chote Betia police station, was killed by the Maoists on the suspicion of being a police informer last night. The Maoists want to justify his killing by terming him a police informer.
