While my profound aversion to David Cunliffe was undeniably the primary motivating factor, my decision to cast a party vote for the Maori Party wasn't entirely a negative one. ROSS GIBLIN/Dominion Post Prime Minister Bill English announcing the retirement age will increase to 67 in 20 years time. But their proposal to address this by creating a two-tiered retirement age is worse than just impractical and simplistic; it is morally reprehensible. The Maori Party are seeking to carve out a separate retirement age in 2040 based on life expectancy data in 2017.
