First, Kasimir Kaskisuo was recalled from the Toronto Marlies to back up Garret Sparks. Then GM Kyle Dubas traded for some depth, acquiring Michael Hutchinson from the Florida Panthers for a 2020 fifth round pick. Sparks started Friday in place of Andersen in Columbus, registering his sixth win in eight starts. Leafs coach Mike Babcock said Andersen didn’t feel right on Friday. “It was our plan all along (for Andersen to start Saturday) until (Friday) after game time,” said Babcock.
