The Maple Leafs will once more stay close to home for pre-season, playing geo-rivals Ottawa, Buffalo, Montreal and Detroit in their eight exhibition games. Other than facing the Senators in St. John’s, N.L. at the end of training camp on Sept. 17, they will be nearby, in Ottawa on Sept. 18 then a home and home with Buffalo. They also split games in Montreal Sept. 23 and 25 and with the Red Wings Sept. 27-28.
