Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge set a new marathon world record in Berlin on Sunday, smashing the previous best as he clocked 2hr 1min 39sec. It was the largest single improvement on the marathon world record since Derek Clayton improved the mark by 2:23 in 1967. Congratulations to Euild Kipchoge for setting a new world record finishing at 2:01:40 (unofficial). That was a spectacular run, setting a new marathon world record by clocking 2:01:39, at the Berlin Marathon.
