Was your victory an embrace of your progressive agenda, or is this a case of a kind of out-of-step Democrat just losing? It just was clear: He was not only out of step with the district, but really out of step with the Democratic platform. You have to be in alignment with your district. That’s the only reason you should run, and that’s the only reason you should be elected. If you’re in alignment with your district, it really doesn’t matter what is happening nationally.
