Hoffenheim caused another upset against Bayern Munich as a double from Mark Uth gave them a 2-0 win at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena. Die Kraichgauer inflicted the champions’ first defeat of the new campaign, as Carlo Ancelotti rotated his Bayern squad with one eye on next week’s Champions League opener against Anderlecht. Uth later finished off a fine team move to double Hoffenheim’s lead five minutes into the second half. Hoffenheim remain unbeaten and move level on points with Borussia Dortmund and Hannover at the top of the table. The Iceland forward headed the home side into the lead on 21 minutes and doubled the lead 10 minutes later from the penalty spot.
