[A full review of the halftime show will follow.] A gospel choir — but not Cardi B — took the stage when the band performed its most recent hit, “Girls Like You,” which features the Bronx rapper on its studio version. Maroon 5 is the first band to take the stage at halftime since Coldplay in 2016. Maroon 5’s singer, Adam Levine, has been a coach on the reality-singing competition “The Voice” since 2011. The band, which has released five albums since its multiplatinum debut “Songs About Jane” in 2002, has been a consistent presence on the Billboard Hot 100.
