Last week a jury found Martens Corbett and her father, Tom, guilty of the second-degree murder of Limerick-born Jason Corbett after a trial in North Carolina. Speaking after giving their verdict, members of the jury said the unexplained presence of the brick, which was covered in blood, was a key reason Martens Corbett was convicted of her husband’s killing.
