The incident happened at 4.10pm on December 14 at the junction of Curzon Street and Mealpot Road in Maryport. The car, described as a white vehicle with a male driver and a female passenger, failed to stop at the scene. The boy, who is in his mid-teens, suffered minor injuries. Cumbria Police are appealing for information and are particularly keen to speak to the occupants of a Silver Nissan Quashqai who stopped to help.
