Weber claimed Britain’s difficulties since the Brexit vote had increased faith in the European Union in the rest of Europe. That partly explains why previously Donald Tusk talked about ‘its hard Brexit or no Brexit’. The EU leaders will attempt to reach a conclusion on the issue, which is being held up because of resistance from the Belgian region of Wallonia, on Friday morning.
