Paris St Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has raced past teammate Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to become the world's highest-paid soccer player, according to Forbes magazine. It's the first time any player other than all-time greats Messi or Ronaldo has topped the list in eight years. His PSG colleague Messi is second at $US120 million ($A187 million) and Manchester United's Ronaldo is on $US100 million ($A156 million) in third spot. PSG's Neymar [$US87 million] ($A136 million) and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah [$US53 million] ($A83 million)) round off the top five. In total, the 10 highest-paid soccer players are expected to collect record earnings worth $US652 million ($A1.0 billion) this season, up 11% from last year's $US585 million ($A913 million).
