When McHenry County sheriff’s deputies arrived to a house on rural property surrounded by woods, an armed male came out of the house to the front porch. McHenry County Sheriff’s Office stated that an armed confrontation occurred involving the armed male and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office deputies. The armed male was shot, and no McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputies or other people were injured during the encounter. The scene was secured for paramedics to move up to treat the shooting victim by about 8:30 p.m. and Advanced Life Support treatment was administered. The male shooting victim was listed in critical condition.
