PUTRAJAYA: The usually quiet Election Commission (EC) headquarters was a hive of activity Tuesday morning with media practitioners converging here for the much-awaited announcement of GE14 dates. The Commission is meeting to decide on the key dates for the election including nomination, early voting, and polls. EC chairman Tan Sri Mohd Hashim Abdullah is currently chairing the eight-men panel meeting, which began at 10am. Media personnel had been gathering since 9am although the press conference to announce the key dates is only expected to be held around noon. Television stations have also stationed their equipment as well as outdoor broadcast vans to feed the announcement “live” later.
