India’s media and entertainment (M&E) sector grew 9.1% year-on-year to ₹2.78 trillion in 2025 and is expected to expand at a 7% compound annual growth rate to ₹3.3 trillion by 2028, according to Ficci and EY’s annual report released on Tuesday. - lata.j@livemint.comGrowth was driven largely by digital, even as traditional segments showed mixed trends. Excluding online and video games, hit by a fourmonth ban on money gaming, the sector grew 11.8% in 2025. Advertising was a key driver. Digital advertising rose 26% to ₹94,700 crore, accounting for 63% of total ad revenues.
