THE Philippine Medical Association (PMA) endorsed Dr. Teodoro "Ted" Herbosa, the special adviser of the National Task Force Against Covid-19 (NTF), as the next Department of Health (DoH) secretary. Herbosa received the PMA Presidential Award in recognition of his role in the group's undertakings, Atienza said. "Joey" Concepcion 3rd endorsed Herbosa and Dr. Edsel Salvaña for the post to be vacated by Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd. Herbosa was the executive vice president of the University of the Philippines System from 2017-2021. Atienza and Calimag said the PMA's past presidents, Jose Santiago Jr., Rey Melchor Santos, Jose Asa Sabili and Bu Castro, are also endorsing Herbosa.
