Meituan Dianping (0369) said inet profit soared by 1.5 times year on year to 2.21 billion yuan (HK$2.48 billion) in the second quarter. Adjusted EBITDA was up by 12 percent to 2.61 billion yuan in the second quarter. Revenue was up by 8.9 percent to 24.7 billion yuan. The food and beverage delivery grew by 13.2 percent in the second. For the first half, it turned loss to a profit of 630 million yuan, compared with last year's loss of 557 million yuan.
