more-inThe memorial for veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan, which will also house his statue, is getting the finishing touches. The Public Works Department is constructing the memorial on Durgabai Deshmukh Road in Adyar at a cost of ₹2.8 crore. Sources in the PWD said painting work is on at the memorial, which is spread over 28,300 sq. There are plans to have a display of pictures of the veteran actor in the memorial. The statue on Kamarajar Salai may soon be shifted to the memorial in Adyar.
