Share TweetBy Christina HermosoThe Roman Catholic Church marks the Memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church Monday after the Vatican announced March of last year its observance on the Monday after Pentecost. The Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, has been added to the General Roman Calendar, the Roman Missal, and the Liturgy of the Hours. The Marian title of Mother of the Church was given to the Blessed Mother by Blessed Pope Paul VI at the Second Vatican Council. With its addition to the General Roman Calendar, it will now be celebrated annually by the whole Roman Catholic Church.
