The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, held talks with the Director General of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Belgassim Haftar, on reconstruction files and development programs, as well as the issue of a unified general budget, during a meeting held on last Thursday. The meeting addressed developments in the reconstruction file, emphasizing the strategic importance of development programs as a fundamental pillar for achieving stability and consolidating state unity, according to the statement. The meeting also touched on the need to advance the political process as the framework guaranteeing sustainable stability. Menfi affirmed that the success of reconstruction efforts requires unified institutions and sound financial management, stressing the importance of approving a unified budget that ensures fair distribution of resources and supports the implementation of projects according to clear national priorities. On June 17, the House of Representatives approved the development plan for the years 2025–2026–2027, in addition to the development plan submitted by the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, valued at 69 billion dinars.
