Last month saw 19% more rainfall than usual across the country, with Dublin Airport seeing its wettest ever February. Dublin Airport experienced 255% of its normal rainfall. The airport also recorded “lower-than-average” sunshine hours, experiencing its dullest February since 1947 with 36.6 hours of sunshine. Meanwhile, Shannon Airport experienced the most sunshine, while only getting 79% of the typical sunshine hours for February. February’s highest temperature was reported at Moore Park, Co Cork, on February 23 and 25, with a temperature of 14.8C.
