Met Éireann has issued weather warnings for eight counties as the risk of flooding continues to hang over the country. Meanwhile Status Yellow rain warnings have been issued for Dublin, Louth and Wicklow, between 3am on Tuesday and 6pm on Tuesday. The council has warned of periods of rainfall on “already saturated ground” as it said river water levels “remain high” along with the presence of a high tides advisory.
