Seven counties are under status yellow weather warnings this afternoon, with thunderstorms, strong gusts and downpours expected in the west and south. A status yellow thunderstorm warning is in place for Cork, Kerry and Waterford until 7pm this evening. From midday, a status yellow wind and rain warning will come into place in Cork and Kerry until 8pm this evening. A status yellow wind warning is currently in place in Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo and is set to lift at 2pm. Tuesday Night will be quite unsettled with overcast conditions and scattered showers becoming more widespread later in the night.
