The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned that moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Nairobi and surrounding counties. In a weather update issued on Thursday, the department said the rainfall would affect sections of the Nairobi metropolitan area. On Wednesday, Kenya Met cautioned fishermen and the coastal communities to be alert while undertaking their activities along the Kenyan Coast. According to the Met department, Kenya’s coastal waters are expected to experience generally slight to moderate sea conditions over the next week. “Marine users should continue monitoring forecasts and exercise caution when planning activities, especially small-scale operators,” Kenya Met said.
