Maybe it’s down to the pandemic but I suspect this addiction to outrage predates the onset of the virus. One way or the other, outrage is all the rage. For the few seconds that it takes to get a good photo these days, none of them were practicing social distancing. Curiously, there was another story during the week that didn’t elicit outrage but in a civilised society most definitely would have. There is no outrage because the kind of anger currently in vogue is dependant on a target.
