By Colin KellaherMicrochip Technology's board has raised the chip maker's quarterly dividend by 7%, to 43.9 cents from 41 cents. The new payout, equal to about $1.76 a year, represents an annual yield of about 2.39% based on Thursday's closing price of $73.60, up from 2.23%.
