Operating profits at DCC rose strongly during the last three months of last year, despite the effects of an unseasonably mild weather. The Irish conglomerate said yesterday that group operating profits for the third quarter to the end of December were “in line with expectations”. The trading update did not give a figure for the profits recorded during the three-month period. DCC recorded adjusted operating profits of £383 million during its 2018 financial year. It has four main divisions: retail and oil, liquefied petroleum gas, technology, and healthcare.
