The fundraising campaign for brave New Ross woman Milena Nowak has been boosted by a nine hour DJ set which has shot a campaign to get her back on her feet to national attention. More than 100,000 people engaged with a Facebook post about MilenaDay after local DJs Mick (Dixie) Conway and Paul Kelly kickstarted the event earlier this month. Paul said Milena (22) is a family friend, adding that he was immediately onboard with the campaign to raise €50,000 for her. Waterford DJ Aaron Ryan got the vinyls spinning on Saturday, followed by Tom Reddy from New Ross, who played a good mix of tunes. To date around €7,300 of the €50,000 needed for a wheelchair accessible vehicle, among other bills for Milena, has been raised.
