Jammu, Sep 11 (PTI): A policeman was killed and two persons, including an officer, were injured in a fierce gun battle with militants in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir. ”There was a gun battle near the under construction mini-secretariat at Allah Pir area in Poonch after presence of two or more militants was detected in the area this morning,” a police officer told PTI. In the encounter, one policeman died and two persons were injured, police officials said. One of the injured is a Sub Inspector of the Special Operation Group, Manzoor Hussain, and another a civilian Tariq, they said. The encounter is underway and further details are awaited, he said.
