Photo: BSSRAJSHAHI, March 22, 2026 (BSS)- Advocate Shafiqul Haque Milon, MP, has said that those seeking nomination in the upcoming local government elections must engage in politics based on sacrifice and public involvement. He stated, “The days of pleasing someone with good or bad food or giving expensive gifts to secure nomination are over. Advocate Milon further said, “If someone expects nomination without staying in the area or standing by people in times of need, they should forget that dream. The event was presided over by Mohanpur Upazila BNP President Shamimul Islam Mun and was attended by General Secretary Mahbubur Rahman. Among others present were former chairman of Dhurail Union and former organizational secretary of the upazila BNP, Kazim Uddin, along with leaders and activists of BNP’s affiliated and associate organizations.
