A Minister of State has defended Ireland’s track record on foreign aid, challenging people who are critical of him on social media to “put their money where their mouth is”. Neale Richmond T.D., the Minister of State with responsibility for International Development and the Diaspora, was speaking at the National Opera House in Wexford for the launch of Oxfam Ireland’s Global Education Movement (GEM) where he challenged the “big brave man who shouts at me on social media” over the amount of aid Ireland sends abroad.
