POLICYFirst and foremost, the curriculum reform process is anchored on policy and legislation. 14 of 2012 Reforming Education and Training Sectors in Kenya, Curriculum Reform Policy, are some of the domestic policy and legislative instruments that are animating the curriculum reform process. The curriculum reform at basic education levels is overseen by a National Steering Committee, which comprise of all conceivable stakeholders. TEAMWORKThe alleged lack of stakeholder engagement strategy in both curriculum reform and other reform practices being rolled out does not therefore arise. Behind the pronouncements that the ministry makes on any aspect of the education initiative are deliberations, reflections, comparisons, dialogue, discussions, consultations and conclusions.
