20-year-old youth empowerment advocate Mirus Ponon started a life of service when he was only nine. CatalystGrateful for every opportunity to advance his beloved causes, Ponon is most fulfilled to have established the non-government, non-profit organization Youth Advocates for the Philippines Inc. in early 2020. Among its popular programs are the SDG Week, Asean Youth Week, Sustainablitz, Asean Ideathon, Asean Youth Voices, Asean Youth Cares and Youth Advocates Summit albeit in virtual implementations for the time being. Ponon founded the Youth Advocates for the Philippines and the Asean Youth Advocates Network which actively provides thousands of young people opportunities in volunteerism in the most disadvantaged communities in the region.
