Blues centre Rene Ranger is facing a misconduct investigation after being convicted of drink driving today. New Zealand Rugby said tonight they have initiated misconduct proceedings against Ranger. The former All Black appeared today at the Waitakere District Court and pleaded guilty to charges of careless driving and drink driving following an incident this month. New Zealand Rugby general manager rugby Neil Sorensen said they would be working with the Blues to complete the misconduct process as quickly as possible.
