Missing Camarillo man's death ruled homicide by Los Angeles coroner


Jose Antonio Velasquez, 35, of Camarillo, was killed as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the death investigation. The Ventura County Sheriff's Office reported Velasquez's remains were found on Oct. 3 in a hiking area of the Santa Monica Mountains within Los Angeles County. Ventura County investigators did not immediately respond to a request for more information on Monday morning. The death investigation remains ongoing by the Ventura County Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau.
