Mississauga fire provides update on 'major' blast that levelled plaza

Mississauga fire is set to provide an update Monday morning on a 'major' explosion that rocked the city on Sunday, levelling part of a plaza and forcing residents from their homes. CBC Toronto will live stream the news conference, which is set to begin later this morning. Three people were taken to hospital, including a six-year-old boy who was nearby when the blast went off shortly before 7:30 a.m. yesterday on Hurontario Street. About a third of the structure collapsed right away, while storefront windows on shops across the street were blown out. An emergency shelter was set up at a local community centre, but as of Monday morning, no one was there.
