Of the former, I’ve found myself taking more of them than at any other point in my life. I’ve opted for an after-dinner walk alone, despite my phone battery being alarmingly low, instead of jumping into a cab. Some risks just aren’t worth taking — no matter how good the story. The same goes for the 52 Places trip over all. It’s a chance I’ve had to accept is just not worth taking right now, even if it pains me to admit it.
