MitsubishiAfter years of delays, Mitsubishi has finally launched its first plug-in hybrid in the United States. The Outlander PHEV went on sale here this month, a second-generation version that follows the European and Japanese model by five years. Details are still nebulous, but Swearingen said that we should not expect a new Mitsubishi PHEV until at least two years from now. MitsubishiOver the years, Mitsubishi has played with the plug-in hybrid utility vehicle through a number of auto show concept vehicles. Swearingen said that Nissan and Renault are likely to keep moving forward with their full-EV plans, while Mitsubishi will go the PHEV route.
