KIDAPAWAN CITY, Cotabato, Philippines — Mlang town in this province suspended COVID-19 vaccinations, starting Thursday, Jan. 27, until Jan. 30, after nine of its vaccinators showed mild symptoms of the disease, according to the municipal vaccination coordinator, Perla Piang. Since the vaccinators had to be isolated, COVID-19 vaccinations were suspended in all hubs. He said that the town’s target was to fully vaccinate at least 70,000 residents so it could achieve herd immunity. As of Friday, Mlang had 81 active COVID-19 cases.
