Salah has been mesmerising on the pitch since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and has helped the north west giants win the Champions League, Premier League and Club World Cup as well as the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. But he will turn 32 in the summer and will only have one year remaining on his Reds contract by then. Liverpool reportedly rejected a £150million offer for Salah from Al Ittihad at the end of the summer transfer window. Mbappe, who won the World Cup with France in 2018, is regarded as one of the best players in world football and could be the perfect replacement for Salah. But Liverpool regard Mbappe as the sort of marquee player they need to keep pace with Manchester City in the future and view him as their dream replacement for Salah.
