The mobile workforce of the future will be based in a virtual computing environment that is not location dependent. A mobile workforce increases opportunities for employees to collaborate and work in teams. However, for this to succeed, employees must be able to work remotely and therefore have reliable mobile data. The 2015 VMware State of Business Mobility Report shared that businesses that have embraced mobility notice significant benefits, especially in productivity and effectiveness. As more tech tools are introduced, employees – especially the younger generation – have more say in what devices they will use for work.
