Showrunners and co-creators, Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd, recently confirmed that their plan is to end with 10 seasons of the Pritchett family. The news of an impending finale came after the show's 200th episode, which earned 5.8 million viewers. At its peak, the show was consistently attracting 14 million viewers and won Outstanding Comedy Series at the Emmys for five straight years. Three members of the ensemble cast — Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, and Eric Stonestreet — have earned Emmys for their work on Modern Family.
