British troops are carrying out border patrols, live-fire exercises and forest ambush drills in training with Nato forces to prepare for possible trench warfare with Russia. Camera teams filming for a new documentary on Channel 4 were embedded with Nato soldiers on Estonia's eastern border, the alliance's most exposed flank. One of the Nato troops adds that soldiers have been understanding the ground and conditions in the Baltic states so that 'if something did happen, we are ready'. The documentary also looks at amphibious landing training in Greece last February as part of Steadfast Dart, Nato's largest exercise of 2025. Last week, the British military completed a demanding training exercise involving the three armed services ahead of taking responsibility for Nato's special operations forces.
