Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rain warning for Cork and six other counties with more flooding possible. "Rain falling on already saturated ground combined with high river levels will lead to flooding, poor visibility, and difficult travelling conditions," Met Éireann warned. The forecaster has also issued a status yellow rain/snow warning for Donegal, Leitrim, and Sligo from 2am on Wednesday for a 12-hour period. "Cold tomorrow with frost and ice lingering at first," said Met Éireann, with a dry day expected before rain and drizzle begins to spread from Munster. By nightfall, it will be cloudy, with scattered outbreaks of rain easing as the night progresses.
