More wind and rain are on the way, with much of the country falling into warnings issued by Met Éieann. A status yellow rain warning Cork, Cavan, Monaghan, Tipperary, Waterford, and all of Leinster will be in place from 11pm for a 24-hour period. Week aheadWednesday will be wet and breezy with rain, drizzle and some sleet or snow in the northwest and on higher ground. Thursday will start mostly cloudy with some scattered showers and more persistent spells of rain, which will move northeastwards across the country. Looking into the weekend, Saturday will see more outbreaks of rain and drizzle, which will start to become patchier before it clears through the day.
